You can now add date ranges to your budgets – in fact, it's required by definition! When planning upcoming work, you agree with the client on how much money you have for a period of time.

When you set a budget, it's nice to see how much work you've allocated – under, over or exactly according to the budget – and then will be able to follow the planned vs. actual time tracked. Naming the different budgets can be very helpful, communicating "phase 1" or "maintenance" or so.

Budgets are being developed very actively right now – hoping to release the fixed price billing type soon, and add the budgets to the burnup graphs as well.
