Person: Site-based filters, unintended behaviour [Views]

When creating new views and using filters – I noticed that Site-based filtering alone doesn’t return results (=0). I can only obtain results I also add extra filters, such as Group.

This seems counterintuitive – if I wanted to see all people beloning (or not) to some site, regardless of their group, should I be able to do so just using the Sites filter?

To obtain the desired filtered result, now I have to add all the groups. See screenshot below for details.

Site only (returns 0)

If I add one group filter (returns results correctly)

If I manually add all groups to the filter (returns results correctly)

@Matti Parviainen I might have understood a bit better when this happens (and I can work around it, but just flagging in case it is something that needs to be addressed).

    Scenario (while in Timeline view):

    1. I start with no filters, and see all people

      • I add a filter, or selected a saved view, therefore seeing a subset of people (e.g., where Group = “A”)

    2. This subset of people (Group = “A”) is now loaded

    3. If I now try to remove that filter (Group) and select a filter on Skill (e.g., Skill = “X”), I get 0 results

However, if I started from scratch, from (1) and rather than filtering on Group, I filtered immediately only on Skill, while all people are loaded, I get the right result of people with Skill = “X”, which is > 0.

I think that it might be that when I deselect a filter and select another one in the same dropdown, the filtering might be acting on a cached/intermediate results, rather than on the full set? (this could be wrong, just a feeling/intuition from my end)
