A little bit comme-ci, comme-ca. Years ago, I tested a bit similar idea with a customer of mine, an engineering consultancy company. The idea was to show the estimated allocation as a placeholder - then the user filled the actual hours (3 hrs). The question was if the planned hours should show the total planned hours for the task (f.ex 30 hrs) or only daily planned and calculated hours (f.ex 3hrs per day) or total planned hours minus consumed hours. Also, when the ts-entry was carried out, in “Timesheet entry” table the separate field “Planned hours” was saved to speed up the reporting operations to 3rd party BI-solution.

Already works for Time Off in Categories that “fill timesheets”. Highly configurable. https://support.operating.app/p/time-off-allocation-type

Now doable with https://support.operating.app/p/plan-tasks-in-allocations in place.
